Ami Dodson is a former editorial director and public relations specialist who now advocates for young adults diagnosed with breast cancer. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Bay Area Young Survivors. A two-time cancer survivor, Ms. Dodson successfully overcame lymphoma in her 20s and breast cancer in her 30s. BRCA2 positive, she is well-versed in genetic testing, fertility considerations, temporary and permanent side effects of treatment and chemotherapy and the unique challenges for pre-menopausal women facing ovarian removal, sudden-onset menopause, sexual dysfunction and other related issues. After completing her BA from Trinity College of Hartford, CT, magna cum laude, Ms. Dodson graduated from Duke Law School with a JD and a Masters in English. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two children.
