Dr. Leslie Appiah, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist with fellowship training in pediatric and adolescent gynecology and expertise in Oncofertility. She is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and a member of the Section of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Appiah serves as director of the Fertility Preservation and Reproductive Health program at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. Dr. Appiah attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, and completed residency at Sinai Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Following her passion, Dr. Appiah completed a research fellowship in reproductive genetics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and a clinical fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Appiah is well-published and speaks extensively across the nation. She is an American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Clinical Research/Scientist Training (CREST) Scholar and serves as program chair for the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) Annual Clinical Research Meeting, chair of the NASPAG Fertility Preservation Special Interest group and co-chair of the AYA Reproductive Late Effects Committee of the Oncofertility Consortium at Northwestern. Dr. Appiah’s clinical and research interests include fertility preservation in adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer, reproductive late effects in survivorship and adolescent endometriosis.
