Minetta C. Liu, MD, is a breast medical oncologist and translational researcher at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she holds dual appointments in the Department of Oncology and in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Her primary clinical research focus is on the use of novel biologic agents and preoperative systemic therapy in breast cancer management. Her primary laboratory research focus is on the efficient development of reliable predictors of systemic treatment response. As such, she leads several research trials with clinical and correlative laboratory endpoints. Her institutional roles include Research Chair for the Division of Medical Oncology, Chair of the Circulating Tumor Cell and cfDNA Working Group for the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Medical Director for Specialty Contract Operations, and Associate Medical Director for the Department of Development. She also serves as Correlative Science Co-Chair for the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium, Clinical Working Group Co-Chair for the Evelyn H. Lauder Founder’s Fund AURORA Collaboration, and Member of the NCI National Clinical Trials Network Correlative Sciences Committee.
