Rachel M. Layman, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to this she was Medical Oncology faculty at The Ohio State University. Dr. Layman received her Medical Degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio followed by her Internal Medicine Residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland. She then completed her Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Layman treats patients with all types of breast cancer. Her research is focused on hormone receptor positive breast cancer and she is actively engaged in clinical and translational research. She has served as Principal Investigator on multiple studies leading to peer-reviewed publications. She leads the Hormone Receptor Positive Working Group at MD Anderson.
