As a certified coach, advocate, and speaker, Tambre was inspired to become an expert in coaching cancer survivors/co-survivors out of her experience as a caregiver for her late husband.
Tambre has facilitated workshops for cancer survivors and co-survivors for organizations such as Stupid Cancer, USC Phillip Norris Cancer Center, Keep A Breast Foundation, Healthy Lives After Cancer at UCLA, Tower Cancer Foundation, and more. She was a presenter and keynote speaker for four years at CancerCon and a speaker and facilitator at three of YSC’s National Summits including the 2015 Inaugural Summit in Houston where she facilitated a powerful breakout session for co-survivors, “Getting the Support You Need.” This year, Tambre’s focus will be on coaching strategies to help co-survivors navigate the psychosocial impact of caregiving.
As a published author, Tambre’s articles for cancer survivors and co-survivors have appeared in leading cancer magazines including Coping With Cancer and Breast Cancer Wellness. She has also published two eBooks, “Just Diagnosed: Practical Tips for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers” and, specifically for caregivers, “Self Care isn’t SELF-ish: Taking Care of You IS Caring for Your Loved Ones.” Her online program, “Grief as a Pathway to Transformation,” is featured on the highly popular Daily Om platform. Her innovative Patient Adherence Training Program was a finalist in the 2018 Astellas C3 Innovation competition and is currently being implemented at specialty pharmacies across the country.
