Travel Grants

Thank you so much for your interest in attending the 2026 YSC Summit! We’ve reached capacity for travel grant funding and have closed applications. If you’ve already submitted your application, you’ll hear from us within 15 business days of when you applied.

We know how much it means to connect with this community in person, and we wish we could support everyone who wants to join us. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected] – we’re here to help.

YSC’s Travel Grant program helps make attending the YSC Summit possible by reducing the cost of travel. We believe every young survivor and co-survivor should have access to the education, connection, and community that the Summit offers—no matter where they live.

Travel Grants are based on financial need and other eligibility guidelines. YSC works closely with our generous donors and sponsors to support as many attendees as possible. As funds become limited, we’ll do our best to prioritize those with the greatest need.

Helpful Tips

  • Please do not register for the YSC Summit until we have notified you about your Travel Grant.
  • Priority will be given to those who did not receive a travel grant to any YSC conference in the last 2 years. The amount of each Travel Grant is $700 USD for domestic applicants (+ Canada and Mexico) and $1000 USD for all other international applicants.
  • You are responsible for your upfront costs, and you will receive your travel grant payment 4-6 weeks after the Summit is over. Please take this into consideration when making travel and financial decisions.
  • The application process is open until December 31, 2025, or until funds run out.
  • We will notify applicants within 15 business days after submitting your application.
  • Travel Grants are meant to supplement your travel costs and will likely not cover all of your expenses. We strongly encourage you to research travel costs to better understand the additional amounts for which you may be personally responsible.
  • Travel Grant applications require a $10 non-refundable application fee.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Demonstrated financial need based on household income. You may be required to provide additional information.
  • Priority is given to young breast cancer survivors and young adults living with metastatic breast cancer, with additional funds available for co-survivors.
  • You must be in good standing with Young Survival Coalition (YSC) conferences and events. YSC reserves the right to decline a Travel Grant application if applicants provide misinformation or otherwise show misconduct at any YSC event.

Travel Grant Allowances

The total amount of travel grant reimbursement is a flat rate of $700 USD for those living in the U.S., Canada and Mexico and $1000 USD for all other international applicants. As noted below, you will receive a separate registration fee waiver code, which has a value of $180 USD.

You may use your funds towards:

  1. One registration fee waiver (code will be provided once your application is approved).
  2. Your hotel room at the New Orleans Marriott. The cut-off date for our room block rate is February 11, 2026.
  3. Your transportation costs (plane, bus, train, car, ground transportation to/from the airport in Atlanta).

When applying for a travel grant, please take into consideration your financial need and your commitment to attending the YSC Summit. YSC is dedicated to using these funds to help as many attendees as possible, and cancellations impact our ability to do so.
