Travel Grants
Update for December 19, 2022: The travel grant application for the 2023 YSC Summit is now closed. All funds have been allotted, and we are unable to provide any additional grants. If you received a prior wait list notification, you will hear from us no later than December 31, 2022 on the status of your application.
YSC’s Travel Grant program helps decrease the financial burden of travel and increases access to quality education and support at the YSC Summit to all who need it.
Travel Grants are needs-based and distributed based on the requirements below on a first-come, first-served basis. While YSC works with donors and sponsors to fund all attendees who demonstrate need, once funds are depleted, the application process is closed.
Helpful Tips
The total amount of travel grant reimbursement may not exceed $700 USD for those living in the U.S., Canada and Mexico and $1000 USD for all other international applicants. As noted below, you will receive a separate registration fee waiver code, which has a value of $180 USD.
Eligible travel grant items may include:
The following items are not covered:
*Example: A domestic applicant is awarded $700. The hotel room rate for the YSC Summit is $159/night. If you book a single room at the Sheraton/Le Méridien in Charlotte, NC for 3 nights ($477 + tax= $549), you will have $151 remaining towards your travel expenses; if you share a room, you would pay $275 (including tax) for a 3 night stay and would have $425 to use towards travel costs.
When applying for a travel grant, please take into consideration your financial need and your commitment to attending the YSC Summit. YSC is dedicated to using these funds to help as many attendees as possible, and cancellations impact our ability to do so.
